The trendiest Japanese denim or a killer blazer aren’t where a confident, consistent sense of fashion begins. Looking good starts with underwear, which is the cornerstone of every man’s daily attire. So, it’s no surprise that shopping for underwear is at the bottom of most men’s to-do lists.
It really doesn’t help that they have a reputation for being the lamest gift-giving product of all time. However, after going over these ins and outs, you’ll quickly realize that knowing how to properly package the family heirlooms could be the greatest gift you could ever give yourself.
Replace worn-out underpants
The figure that it takes an average of 8 years for men to change their underpants has been bandied about. Whether or not that’s true (and we pray it isn’t), no matter how long it needs to refill supplies, chuck a pair in the garbage once it’s seen best times — a small puncture, a little rip, a very little wrinkle. Is this too much of a price to be paid for a little flaw? Maybe. Wear and tear on underpants, on the other hand, is a very steep slope. Clear a room in your sock drawer for the mens boxers you’ve had since your college days, and put them to rest – forever.
Do have an assortment of men’s underwear
Men should always have at least ten sets of underwear on hand. That would be one for each day of the week, possibly two more for weekend evenings and one more tossed in for good value or a crisis. Active guys, such as gym rats, outdoor enthusiasts, and all-around heavy sweaters, will require a few more. Couch potatoes, on the other hand, cannot get by with fewer calories because they sit about all day.

Make an effort to locate your brand
Except, maybe, when it came to men’s underwear, where diversity is the spice of life. Finding a brand that fits exactly right — one that retains the contents in place without it being overly stiff or too looser — can be challenging. However, if you manage to come across the appropriate kind, you should stock up. Certainly, you can experiment with a variety of colors, super-comfy eco-friendly materials, and perhaps a design or two. However, your best strategy is to stick with a single brand that you know will work for you. Furthermore, do you really need to be shopping for undies for so long?
Stains are not tolerated
It’s not only about boxers and briefs when it comes to underwear; it also involves bangers and T-shirts. That’s enough to make a person’s stomach turn to see either those with a ghastly golden pit. Sweat contains urea, the very same waste product seen in urine, which gives it a yellowish tint. Unfortunately, it’s practically hard to make your T-shirts white back. At the first hint of deterioration, chalk this up to an exercise regime or overactive sweat glands and get some fresh white undershirts.
Wearing boxers under your slacks is not a good idea
Boxer shorts have earned their deserved position in your underwear drawer. Boxers are fantastic for resting, and if you want to add a little extra swing to your step, you may wear them with jeans. Trying to stuff a huge, baggy boxer’s shorts into perfectly fitted trousers is very far from attractive during the 9-to-5 grind. Suiting up necessitates more polished underwear that doesn’t necessitate a second tuck or tug.
