  • 3Tbsp tamari 
  • Rice wine half cup 
  • 1Tsp brown sugar 
  • 1Tsp ground chili 
  • Sesame oil 

Wash black beans and separate a small portion of them. Chop the remaining beans to a fine paste. Heat the oil in a pan. Add shallot, garlic, ginger, and chilies. Simmer for 5 minutes. Now add beans paste, whole beans, and all other ingredients except sesame oil. Cook for 10 minutes until the beans become soft. Now add sesame oil and allow the sauce to settle. Oil acts as a barrier. Therefore, it will protect the sauce from mold and you can store it for a month.

Oyster Sauce

To bring unique umami flavor the oyster sauce is the best marinade for both chicken and meat. To prepare at home you need only 3-4 ingredients which include:

  • Oysters 
  • Soya sauce
  • Salt 
  • Tamari

Separate oysters and water and blend the oysters to make a smooth paste. Pour this paste into a pan with the reserved water and cook to a boil. Now simmer for 10 minutes and allow to cool. Remove pieces and add soy sauce, salt, and tamari. Simmer over low flame for 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
